TFP Model Photo Shoot
Terms & Conditions and Guidelines
Purpose
This is a Time for Print (TFP) collaboration between the photographer, model, and any additional creatives such as makeup artists, hairstylists, and designers. No monetary compensation is involved.
The goal is to create high-quality content that benefits all collaborators by enhancing their portfolios and increasing their exposure.
1. Agreement
This section outlines the mutual understanding and responsibilities of all parties involved in the TFP shoot, ensuring clarity on rights, expectations, and professional standards.
By participating in this TFP shoot, all parties agree to the following terms:
1.1. Usage Rights
- The photographer retains full copyright of all images.
- All contributors (model, makeup artists, stylists, designers) are permitted to use the final retouched images solely for personal promotion (portfolio, website, social media) and must credit all team members involved.
- Photos must not be altered, sold, or used commercially without the photographer’s written consent.
1.2. Model Release
- The model consents to the use of their likeness in the photographer’s portfolio, social media, and promotional materials.
- A signed model release form will be required prior to the shoot.
1.3. Image Delivery
The delivery process ensures a fair and selective approach where the model can choose favorites, and the photographer curates the final set for editing. This guarantees quality over quantity and aligns with the artistic vision of each shoot.
- The photographer will share all unedited photos via a website link within 7 days after the shoot.
- The model can select up to 10 best photos per theme.
- From these selected images, the photographer will choose the final photos to retouch.
- A maximum of 5 photos per theme will be retouched. The final number depends on the model’s performance, expressions, and posing ability.
- In the case of a conceptual fine art portrait, only 1 image will be edited.
- Final retouched images will be delivered within 4 weeks after the selection has been finalized.
- Raw/unedited images will not be provided under any circumstances.
1.4. Cancellation Policy
- A minimum of 48 hours’ notice must be given for any rescheduling or cancellations.
- No-shows or last-minute cancellations without a valid reason may result in exclusion from future collaborations.
2. Shoot Guidelines
These guidelines are in place to maintain a smooth, respectful, and productive shoot environment, ensuring that all participants are aligned and the creative process flows efficiently.
2.1. Pre-Planning & Creative Direction
- Before the shoot, all collaborators must participate in planning the concept. A mood board or theme must be agreed upon in advance, using references and ideas shared by both the photographer and the model (and other creatives, if involved).
- No shoot will be confirmed or begin without a clearly defined concept. This ensures that everyone is aligned creatively and working toward a shared vision.
2.2. Wardrobe & Styling
- Outfits, themes, makeup, and props must be discussed and agreed upon in advance.
- The model must arrive prepared, unless otherwise arranged (e.g., if a makeup artist or stylist is involved).
2.3. Professional Conduct
- All participants must maintain a respectful, professional, and creative environment.
- Any misconduct, discrimination, or unprofessional behavior will not be tolerated.
2.4. Companions
- Models may bring one non-disruptive companion to the shoot for safety and comfort, if discussed in advance.
2.5. Editing Policy
- The photographer has complete creative control over editing style and image selection.
- No third-party retouching or filters are allowed on the final images without permission.
3. Social Media & Tagging
To ensure maximum visibility and credit for everyone involved, all contributors are expected to actively participate in the content rollout—both before and after the final images are published.
3.1. Pre-Release Engagement
- The photographer will post a 10-second behind-the-scenes reel per dress/theme as a teaser, tagging all contributors in a collaborative format.
- Before the final photo release, each contributor must post at least three Instagram Stories related to the shoot—this could include behind-the-scenes moments, selfies on set, or other engaging content.
- Each Story must individually tag all contributors involved. This helps generate attention, build anticipation, and support everyone involved.
- Example tag: Photographer @nadza.ae
3.2. Tagging Requirements
- All contributors are required to tag each other in every post, reel, and story related to the shoot. Proper credit must be given to the photographer, model, makeup artist, designer, stylist, and any other collaborators involved.
- This helps ensure equal recognition and visibility for everyone’s work. Failure to tag contributors may affect participation in future collaborations.
3.3. Final Image Posting
- Final photos can be posted as collaboration posts (recommended for better reach) or as individual posts. When posting on social media, proper credits must be given.
- No filters or additional edits should be applied to the images when posted.
